AlbinoMosquito™ are a leading force in providing creative visual solutions to everything from music videos to gigs to corporate events.

AlbinoMosquito were looking for a website that would display the quality and beauty of their visual solutions, i.e. music videos / live visuals.

The website most the most of the WordPress Custom Fields to allow for video linkage as well as meta information such as gallery images.

Techniques such as jQuery and CSS3 were used heavily to give the website a more ‘cutting edge’ feel.

Alice Horton Illustration

Alice Horton Illustration is a gallery / portfolio website for Alice Horton, an Illustrator based in Manchester, England.

The website makes use of WordPress’s comments section to allow the artist to update their personal information, as well as quickly and easily upload any new pieces of artwork. The website uses the WordPress comments facility to allow people to give feedback and discuss the work.

The design was reflective of the dark, methodical outlining done by the artist, in contract with the often whimsical theme of the work.

NB. at the time of writing, the artist is still looking to come back and provide the required information / artwork to finish the website.

Bernisson France

Bernisson France is a beautiful 7 bedroom holiday home based just outside of Bordeaux.

The website makes use of WordPress’s comments section to allow the owners of the home to update their content, prices, dates, etc. quickly and easily from anywhere and uses the WordPress comments facility to allow people who have stayed at Bernisson to leave feedback.

The design was created to reflect the calming, rural and muted tones of the home itself.

What’s Your Problem?

What’s Your Problem? is an experimental and irreverent website I have made whose purpose is to provide random diagnosis to the mental-ailments of the user.

The website makes use of the WordPress commenting capabilities and blends them into a custom PHP / MySQL random call out. JQuery was used to add a bit of interest to the sliding diagnoses, and CSS3 was used to style them.

I decided to base the design of the website on a typical 1970s theme, beards and all. I’m not 100% sure why.

Your Opinion, Sir?

The website Your Opinion, Sir? started out as an experiment to learn more about PHP / MySQL interactions and WordPress, before progressing into a music / film blog.

The theme is that of an ornate gentleman’s bar / lounge, where people go to vent their opinions. The colour scheme is mostly of browns and beige with floral features to give a feeling of antiquity.

This website uses the popular WordPress PHP / MySQL core structure as well as accessible XHTML / CSS mark-up.

GGR Group

GGR is Europe’s leading supplier of vacuum handling machinery, restricted access lifting equipment and mini cranes, along with a variety of complementary products and services.

Working with Cuckoo Design, I was asked to provide a futuristic design that would highlight the quality of their products and their company.

I was responsible for both the design and the front-end, XHTML / CSS build.

Cuckoo Design

I joined the Cuckoo team in April of 2009 in the capacity of Web Designer and was asked to redesign and build their website.

I have attempted to modernise the website by making it as clean and user-friendly as possible, making use of technologies such as jQuery, Flash and standards complient xhtml & css.

The website also have some interesting features such as an enlarged version of the Cuckoo web-cam and an option to choose the background for the website.

It was my aim to make the website more appealable, search engine friendly and hopefully get across the Cuckoo Design originality and vibrance.

Cattery Cottage

Cattery Cottage were looking for a clean and contemporary design for their business that not only established the cattery itself, but also the love the owners have for cats.

The website makes use of whitespace for separating content and using clean, valid XHTML & CSS and uses WordPress as a CMS system to allow the client to update content, images, and prices quickly and easily.

The website uses a clean, friendly colour scheme and has received plenty of positive feedback from users as to its simplicity as well as from the client whose business it has helped take-off.

Rose Does Art

This website was made to showcase the illustration and artwork of Rose Greenfield, a Manchester based artist.

The gallery was created from using PHP / MySQL and functions by creating an online form which uploads images, creates a thumbnail and places the image and corresponding text into the gallery.

The design itself is deliberately muted to draw attention to the images, rather than the website. The colours recall a canvas and set the mood for the artwork.

Souza Winds

Souza Winds are a woodwind quintet based in Manchester. The website was required to provide textual information, image, news and music from the group.

The design and logo were constructed in a way as to suggest sophistication and depth to correspond their music, and the website uses a custom-built WordPress template that the band can use to update content and provide news and diary updates.
